This exciting role will focus on the commercial marketing across the retail, hospitality, and holiday accommodation at Snape Maltings, increasing revenues through a range of tactical and strategic initiatives. Snape Maltings Trading Limited is the trading arm of Britten Pears Arts, providing essential income that allows us to fulfil our charitable purpose. BPA is a pioneering music, arts and heritage charity based on the Suffolk coast at two popular, historic visitor destinations: Snape Maltings and The Red House. Our founders’ vision, that music should be useful and enhance lives, inspires all our activities: our work with local and marginalised communities through to our national leadership roles in the fields of talent development and music for health and wellbeing.

This varied role will suit someone with marketing experience across retail (or similar) and who has great commercial and brand awareness. To be successful you will be able to think creatively, be a keen advocate of our retail offer and brand and will be able to collaborate with the relevant stakeholders. You will be able to use data to understand trading patterns and trends and create/adapt strategies to increase sales – applying a variety of marketing tools to reach new and existing customers. As part of the overall marketing team you will also be a great collaborator – identifying opportunities to cross-sell.

We are looking for someone with:

  • Marketing experience gained in a commercial environment – ideally retail
  • The ability to think creatively, see opportunities and design a plan to realise them
  • Experience of using social media in a commercial context as well as printed media
  • Engaging and accurate copy-writing skills
  • An understanding of data and the ability to use data to inform planning and decision making.
  • Experience of applying E-CRM’s as a sales driving tool would be useful.
  • Values that align with those of BPA – particular in respect of team working, collaboration and creativity.

Our benefits include:

  • Simplyhealth cash plan
  • Company Sick Pay Scheme
  • Life Assurance
  • Staff Discount
  • Auto-enrol pension scheme
  • Long service holiday
  • Cycle to Work scheme
  • Employee Assistance Programme.
