Chinese-American pianist George Xiaoyuan Fu is “one of the most exciting pianists of our time” (The Arts Desk). He plays works by Schumann, Beethoven, Cassandra Miller with Michael Finnissy, and a UK premiere by Anna Thorvaldsdottir, plus Fu's own Passacaglia on a theme by Radiohead.

Aldeburgh Festival featured composer Cassandra Miller and Michael Finnissy have each written two variations on the often interpreted African-American spiritual, 'Sinner, please don't let this harvest pass'. It is beautifully juxtaposed with favourites from the classical and romantic piano repertoire, and atmospheric new music from Aldeburgh Festival featured composer Anna Thorvaldsdottir.

George Xiaoyuan Fu's debut solo album, Mirrors, was recorded at Snape Maltings in January 2022.
