Soprano Mimi Doulton and pianist Dylan Perez present Emily Dickinson settings by Alison Bauld and Aaron Copland, alongside highlights from Olivier Messiaen's Chants de terre et de ciel.

They will be joined by composer Alison Bauld, on her 80th birthday, to discuss ways in which composers work with poetry and self-created text.

In the special space of the Library, which over the decades has seen so much new music-making between friends, we are delighted to present an evening with two leading performers.

The recital will last 60 minutes, with time afterwards to meet the artists and have a glass of bubbles.
