We are looking for an individual to join our Creative Health Team as a Programmes Assistant.

The Britten Pears Arts Creative Health programme exists to have a positive impact on the health and wellbeing of those in East Suffolk and beyond, through participatory heritage and music projects, fulfilling Britten’s vision for music to be useful and enhance lives. The teams work throughout the year in a variety of settings including schools, care homes, community centres, and HMP Warren Hill.

This role will provide essential administrative and practical support to the Creative Health team, with a focus on our work at HMP Warren Hill, with older people and those living in isolation or with long-term health conditions such as dementia or Parkinson’s. The role will also support projects delivered as part of our Creative Health agenda and candidates must be flexible and able to make a positive contribution to the team.

Our ideal candidate is someone who:

  • Has previous experience, paid or unpaid, of working with adults/children/communities.
  • Has excellent administrative and organisational skills; and is confident using IT eg; Microsoft, Sharepoint, databases.
  • Can communicate clearly – verbally and in writing – relates well to people from all backgrounds.
  • Is able to work accurately and efficiently with excellent attention to detail
  • Can easily empathise with others and is able to cope with emotive situations and circumstances
  • Can multi-task and prioritise workload appropriately
  • Makes a positive contribution to the team and is keen to learn and develop new skills.

Candidates must all have a full, clean driving licence and be able to meet our requirement for an Enhanced DBS check.
