Snape Maltings is a leading regional visitor destination and a stunning place to visit. We have a variety of independent shops, cafes, galleries, heritage, and holiday accommodation embedded in the beautiful natural environment. Home to a selection of enchanting shops reflecting our sense of place in rural Suffolk where you will find ranges of crafted homeware, delicious local delicacies, family games and British made upholstery and decorations. Our River View Café and Bar provides an exciting, seasonal menu and is ideally positioned to take in the panoramic views of the reedbeds over a leisurely lunch. The ever-popular MALT café is open daily for friends and families to gather with a hot drink and a delicious slice of cake. The visual arts programme, along with our rich heritage, is a delightfully complimentary thread to underpin together all our work at Britten Pears Arts, Snape Maltings and The Red House. Every penny spent in our shops and at our destinations, supports the pioneering charitable work of Britten Pears Arts.
The Marketing and Communications team promotes every aspect of our work – charitable as well as commercial. This role will support the team with accurate administration and clear communication to our stakeholders, internally and externally, and will be the first point of contact for enquiries. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to apply strong digital/social media skills and to gain experience across all areas of marketing.
We are looking for someone who enjoys working with, and being part of, a team. Candidates must have experience of using social media (including Twitter, Instagram and Facebook) and have accurate admin skills. You may already have some relevant experience or be seeking a role in which you can apply the knowledge and skills that you have gained in a relevant qualification.
Our ideal candidate is likely to have experience gained in a marketing role – paid or unpaid. They will also:
- Be digitally literate and a confident user of social media in the workplace
- Have a good knowledge of Microsoft Suite i.e. Excel, PowerPoint
- Communicate clearly – verbally and in writing
- Demonstrate a clear understanding and interest in the breadth of our work.
- Have a “can do” attitude
- Be eager to learn and develop their skills and take on more responsibility within the team
- Be able to act as a linchpin within a fast-paced dynamic marketing office
