Chloe Mandy settled in North Norfolk twenty years ago. She previously studied at the State University New York at Purchase, and then after graduating she moved to a small village in the mountains of Spain, focusing on the figurative and the poetical. The move to Norfolk shifted Chloe’s attention to landscape, space and light. Her paintings are a visual diary which include real and imagined images of plants, animals and mythical creatures. Flowers have been an enduring subject of her work; Chloe feels they represent the fragility and inexorable beauty of life. This exhibition is a response to the times we live in, specifically the relationship between ourselves and our natural environment.
