June’s inspiration has come from studying natural landscapes en plein air with a focus on depicting on light, shadow, and reflections. She particularly likes portraying cloud formations. Catherine and Julie are two sisters with previous careers in textile design and teaching. Catherine uses mainly stoneware and some earthenware with a strong design influence using the sgrafitto technique to add texture and detail. Catherine and Julie’s stained-glass work is inspired by colours and shapes of the local countryside producing a variety of striking glass panels.
