The Royal Society is a charity dedicated to supporting the advancement of science. They fund and publish research, support the careers of scientists, organise conferences and acts as a representative of the UK scientific research community at home and abroad. As part of this, their Places of Science grant scheme seeks to support UK museums in engaging their communities with science in new ways. They are supporting the schools team at The Red House to develop new Science of Sound resources for secondary students, using our archival holdings and novel experiments to get underneath of skin of music.
