Sophie Hicks’ professional career spans from fashion editor of British Vogue, stylist to the couturier Azzedine Alaïa, Vice President of the Architectural Association Council to Chartered Architect.

Her recent new-build architectural projects are flagship stores in Seoul, and private houses in the UK.

Alongside architecture she develops concepts for retail spaces and has designed over 100 stores worldwide for Paul Smith, Chloé, Acne Studios, Yohji Yamamoto and Alaïa.

Her interest in the arts is demonstrated in her exhibition designs, most notably for Sensation: Young British Artists from the Saatchi Collection at the Royal Academy of Arts.

Currently she is designing a building whose architecture should communicate the structure and magic of perfume.

She is honoured to have been asked by Pavel Kolesnikov to collaborate on a design to enhance his recital at Aldeburgh.
