Nathan England–Jones is a musician, working mostly as a performer in improvised music with drum kit and live electronics. Recent work has included being a member of the Xhosa Cole Quartet/Quintet, which included a 50 date UK tour alongside performances in Europe and festivals in the UK. As a member of the group un.procedure (with Piera Onacko and Cassie Kinoshi) he has performed around UK and Europe, including a recent appearance at Supersonic festival, and been featured on BBC Radio 3 and BBC 6 Music (including curating a Freakzone Playlist). With Zyggurat Nathan released his second album this year on the ‘Old Technology’ label, run by Birmingham techno pioneer Surgeon, also with airplay on BBC Radio 3. He has also worked with James Holden, Soweto Kinch, Pat Thomas, Lekan Babalola, David Austin Grey, Arnie Somoygi, Rachel Cohen, Laura Jurd, Martin Speake, Ghost Culture, Dick Pearce, Neil Yates and others.
