Lotte Betts-Dean is an Australian mezzo soprano based in the UK with a wide-ranging repertoire and a passion for curation and programming, predominantly performing chamber music, art song and contemporary repertoire. In recital she has appeared at many of the UK and Europe’s predominant festivals and venues, including Britten Pears Arts’ Aldeburgh Festival, and she has been involved in a number of album recordings of new music.
Recent operatic work includes Shlomowitz' Electric Dreams (Grand Théâtre de Genève) Dido and Aeneas (International Bach Festival Gran Canaria) Theodora (Muziekgebouw Amsterdam), with future plans including her debut at Bayerische Staatsoper. Lotte was recently elected as Associate (ARAM) of the Royal Academy of Music, after completing an MA in 2016, and as Ambassador for Donne UK, an organisation supporting women in music.
