Joost Hendrickx is a drummer/composer/producer and educator based in London. He started playing drums at the age of 11 and eventually went on to study a Bachelor of the Arts Degree in Jazz. He has had a long and varied career in music, working in his own projects as well as collaborating with some of the most exciting artists in the world of contemporary popular music. He is known for his ability to adapt his style to myriad musical environments, from Pop and Jazz to Electronica, Hip Hop, Free Improvisation as well as Indian Classical, Latin American and West African music.

Joost is currently touring with Abstract Orchestra, Kefaya and Elaha Soroor, Eddie Chacon and John Carroll Kirby, Gotts Street Park and XOA among others, as well as holding a position as a Senior Lecturer at Leeds Conservatoire, where he works closely with young people studying drums and popular music.
