Jasen Weaver
Jasen Weaver's jazz journey from New Orleans to Brussels has been marked by remarkable accomplishments. He is an alumnus of the renowned New Orleans Center for Creative Arts (NOCCA) and the University of New Orleans. Learning both on and off stage from luminaries like Donald Harrison and Jason Marsalis, along with touring globally, has profoundly influenced his artistry. Weaver's versatility shines through his collaborations with various artists such as Black Art Jazz Collective, Jeremy Pelt, Adonis Rose, Dee Dee Bridgewater, China Moses, Joe Dyson, and Dr. John. Holding a master's degree in jazz performance from the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel, he has been honoured with the Toots Thielemans Jazz Award. Committed to music education, he imparts his knowledge at the Sanaa Music Workshop and the International School of Brussels, inspiring budding musicians. Weaver's journey embodies talent, dedication, and a deep love for jazz, leaving a noteworthy imprint on the music world at large.
