Musicianship tutor
Jonathan is a conductor and educator who has specialised in leading creative workshops and training musicianship. He works mainly with advanced classical, jazz and pop musicians, whether at the Bristol Pre-Conservatoire he founded, or at conservatoires (RAM, RCM, GSMD), and national organisations (NCO, Pro Corda). He is currently consulting at Chetham’s School of Music to devise a new musicianship curriculum there.
Jonathan plays a variety of instruments and enjoys improvising at the piano every day. As a conductor and presenter, he has worked with RPO, BSO, Czech Philharmonic and various BBC Orchestras, as well as producing a monthly podcast and educational pieces for BBC Radio 3.
