Alexandra Meier was born in Basel, Switzerland where she developed a passion for theatre and music, performing in children’s theatre, singing in choirs and playing the cello. She currently studies on the Opera Course at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama with John Evans. Her studies are supported by the Herbert and Theresie Lowit Memorial scholarship. Previously, she graduated with a Masters of Performance in vocal studies, supported by the Roches-Utiger Stiftung.

Alexandra is a 2022/23 Britten-Pears Young Artist, and participated in a masterclass on opera arias with Antonio Pappano, Julia Faulkner and Gweneth Ann Rand in Snape Maltings.

Alexandra is singing in the Britten Song Trail on June 14.
