Untold is an (anti-)opera exploring transnational Chinese identities by composer Alex Ho and creative director Julia Cheng, performed by Keith Pun and Tangram, Associate Artists at LSO St Luke’s.
Ahead of its premiere at Flemish Opera in 2023, Festival of New presented a work-in-progress showing of Untold as the culmination of the team’s residency at Snape Maltings.
Untold began its journey in 2019 as a 45’ version which won the George Butterworth Award for Outstanding New Work. In 2022 HERE AND THERE - UNTOLD won the Opera Fedora Prize as part of the HERE AND THERE project of O. Festival for Opera. Music. Theatre. with creative director Rajiv Bhagwanbali.
