We are thrilled to unveil our latest addition to the Friday Afternoons collection: six brand-new songs created by young voices from across Suffolk!
These fresh compositions, crafted with creativity and passion, explore a range of themes – from an extra-terrestrial crash-landing to a dramatic take on Macbeth’s prophecy.
This year’s collection has been written by young people from:
- Snape Primary School
- Kelsale Primary School
- Aldeburgh Primary School
- Coldfair Green Primary School
- Group A
- New Gen
- The Ashley School
- Rushmere Hall Primary School
- Kesgrave High School
The Creative Process
These captivating songs were born in classrooms and music clubs, guided by our Friday Afternoons ambassador, Emily Barden. Students contributed their own poetry and lyrical ideas, which Emily helped shape into fully-fledged songs. The young creators navigated the creative and editorial challenges, building their confidence and honing their craft.
Following their creation, the songs were arranged for children’s choirs across the country, ready to be practiced and professionally recorded. We’re excited to share these unique pieces with you, now available to download, play and enjoy.
