Composer Anna Thorvaldsdottir is one of the most distinctive voices in contemporary music. Her powerful and striking sound-world is deeply inspired by the landscape of her native Iceland, as she creates through her music both the delicacy and the immensity of constantly changing natural processes.
In the Aldeburgh Festival 2023, Anna is a featured musician, with many performances featuring music composed by her, such as Metacosmos being played by the BBC Philharmonic. Watch the video below to hear Anna talk about her creative process and relationship with music.
