Benjamin Britten was one of the twentieth century’s greatest composers. He wrote 16 operas, film music, huge orchestral pieces, hundreds of songs, and music for children.

Also well-known are the community opera Noye’s Fludde and the group of songs for children’s voices Friday Afternoons, both of which were used in Wes Anderson’s 2012 film Moonrise Kingdom.
