Our Snape Residencies programme provides time and space for creators at all stages of their careers. A supportive environment to create, be curious, and try out new ideas. We welcome all sorts of genres and art-forms. This year we have Residencies that will explore Scottish smallpipes, contemporary dance, jazz, electronic, baroque, drone, classical, hip hop, vocal works, sound design and moving image.

In April 2024, we selected the next round of Snape Residency artists through a shortlisting panel with Blaize Henry (violinist), Cassie Kinoshi, (multi-disciplinary creator, composer and instrumentalist), CN Lester (multi-genre musician and artistic director of Transpose), Hannah Bujic (Sound and Music), Ghislaine Granger (Executive Producer for Shobana Jeyasingh Dance), Lloyd Coleman (Paraorchestra), Oliver Payne (YARMONICS and Eastern Ear), and Sophie Harley (Somerset House), alongside the Artist Development team at Britten Pears Arts.
