The BBC Radio 3 New Generation Artists Scheme helps to support young musicians on the threshold of an international career to reach the next stage of their development.

This autumn we're delighted to be hosting a BBC New Generation Artists weekend, a celebration of some of the most exciting emerging talents on the global stage. The weekend will showcase performances from the extraordinary cellist Santiago Cañón Valencia, the innovative Chaos String Quartet, and the exhilarating Fergus McCreadie Trio, whose three concerts blend South American jazz with Scottish folklore in a dynamic fusion of global influences, as well as exploring a fresh perspective on Schubert, one of the 19th century's most enduring and beloved composers.
