Britten Pears Arts is a pioneering music, arts and heritage charity based on the Suffolk coast. It was created in 2020 when the two long-established charities which formed the legacy of Britten and Pears’ life and work, Snape Maltings (formerly Aldeburgh Music) and Britten-Pears Foundation came together.

Working closely to support the CEO and Leadership Team, this role also provides general administrative support for the governance requirements of Britten Pears Arts. Liaising with Trustees, scheduling and minuting meetings, collating and submitting information for the Charity Commission and Companies House etc. The role also co-ordinates and disseminates information internally, and manages the diaries of the CEO and three other directors.

We are looking for someone who is highly organised and who has experience gained in a similar role, ideally supporting a senior leadership team. Candidates should be proficient and confident users of IT, in particular of Microsoft Office, be able to communicate clearly with a broad range of people and be able to work independently.

This role can be worked over 18 to 24 hours per week and we are flexible about whether hours are worked over 3 or 4 days. There is the option for some home-working, however, it is primarily office-based.
