Snape Maltings Trading Ltd is the trading arm of Britten Pears Arts. It contributes essential income enabling our charitable work which reaches into communities, care and educational settings, as well as our work with artists and our performance programme.

This is a new role which has been created to work closely with the Management Accountant. The main purpose is to provide accurate and timely data and information for others to be able to make sound commercial decisions. Key tasks include maintaining the purchase ledger, credit control, bank account checks and reconciliations, responding to initial accounts enquiries and producing routine and ad-hoc reports.

Our ideal candidate is likely to have worked in a similar role and who is studying for an accountancy qualification. We are looking for someone who is keen to develop their skills and knowledge and who can learn new systems, applying them to improve workflows.

In particular we are looking for someone who:

  • Has confident IT skills – especially Microsoft (Excel)
  • Can process data quickly and accurately
  • Has clear communication skills
  • Has a clear understanding of the role of finance as a service provider to internal, as well as external customers/stakeholders.
  • Someone who makes a positive contribution to a team.
