Our 2023 collection of songs were all written with young people, and focus on a theme of identity. The text for this song is by Lily Whitelock, age 16. Roderick Williams chose the poem from the Friday Afternoons Song Lyric Writing Challenge. This a competition we ran with The Poetry Society’s Young Poets Network, an online platform for young poets up to the age of 25.
