The Singh Twins’ highly decorative and symbolic work explores interrelated themes around politics, identity and culture.

Their most recent series “Slaves of Fashion” focuses on hidden narratives of Empire, Colonialism, conflict, slavery and luxury lifestyle through the lens of India’s historical textile trade. In addition to the Indian miniature tradition of painting, they also draw on the artistic language and conventions of other traditions, East and West, old and new.

Curated by Devi Singh.

Special Open Day 14 June 2–5pm.
