Summer Contemporary
Summer Contemporary is a six-week visual art exhibition that celebrates artworks in a variety of mediums and disciplines with a strong Suffolk connection. Over 100 established and emerging artists are taking part.
Every July and August our acclaimed living heritage destination, Snape Maltings, welcomes thousands of visitors to enjoy visual art alongside music, shopping, eating and the unrivalled natural landscape. One of our founders, Peter Pears, was a major collector of contemporary art, and Britten Pears Arts has a long history of public and commercial exhibitions, but this will be the largest show yet.
Glenn Brown, Laurence Edwards, Kate Giles, Jelly Green, Maggi Hambling, Tom Hammick, Roger Hardy, Nadia Koo, Abigail Lane, Ffiona Lewis, Bruce McLean and Symrath Kaur Patti are among the many artists exhibiting in several galleries and spaces across the Snape Maltings destination.
Proceeds from the sales of artwork will help to fund Britten Pears Arts' charitable and cultural activities.
The exhibition is curated by Devi Singh.
