Three eminent composers combine and contrast in this closing recital. Cécile Chaminade, the first female composer to be awarded the Légion d'Honneur, described her work as “essentially of the Romantic school”, which puts her in good company with the lauded 19th-century greats Chopin and Liszt. A special opportunity to hear a master interpreter at work.
