In the second of their concerts this weekend, John Wilson and the Sinfonia of London play works by Britten, his teachers Frank Bridge and Arthur Benjamin, and his friend Lennox Berkeley. Tenor Ian Bostridge joins them to sing Britten’s darkly beautiful Nocturne, which sets texts by Shakespeare, Shelley, Coleridge and Wilfred Owen, among others.
