An intimate piano recital featuring world premieres of works by Elisabeth Lutyens alongside Debussy and Grainger.

Martin Jones writes: “Debussy was one of the first composers to seriously influence Lutyens’ early musical life. She said ‘several themes…were effused with my excitement over Debussy, but I don’t mind – it is a lesson to try’. The two sets of Bagatelles are separated by an early Barcarolle from the 1940s, clearly influenced by Debussy. I end the programme with two pieces by Grainger, one of the greatest pianists of his generation”.
