New vocal music in development: sibling communication, with its inherent intimacy and nuances, will inspire new work by composer Ruby Colley, working on this Residency with the singers of EXAUDI.

The communication between siblings is unlike any other interaction we experience. Composer Ruby Colley will spend time on her Snape Residency to develop a new work inspired by her relationship with Paul, her neurodivergent and non-speaking brother.

Written for and in collaboration with EXAUDI, 'Hello Halo' will be a vocal map of Paul's lived experiences and his interactions with Ruby, shining a light on unconventional communication methods as well as the complexity of neurodiverse relationships.
