Laboratory of Lullabies
Join us for a unique experience that invites families to connect through the timeless tradition of lullabies.
Whether you're a parent with young children, a grandparent sharing cherished memories, or an adult bringing an elderly relative, this event is designed for everyone to enjoy together.
The Laboratory of Lullabies features enchanting 'night-time' music from baroque and folk traditions, crafted to delight both adults and children. Naomi Burrell is joined by an international ensemble of talented musicians playing period instruments, who will transform the Britten Studio into an immersive visual and aural wonderland, with seats retracted to create an engaging space for all.
During this Snape residency, a mother-and-daughter duo and their fellow musicians, are developing ways to bring their recorded album to life in a captivating live show and community workshop. The album includes music in seven different languages, reflecting the diverse roots of the musicians and adding an international flavour. Collaborating with an artist, they will also create a stunning visual experience and a beautiful picture book.
Come and be part of this magical journey, where music bridges generations and creates lasting memories.
