Laura Cannell: The Dovecote Sessions
Suffolk-based international artist Laura Cannell gives the world premiere of her new project ECHOLOCATION: Resonate from Here – an immersive sound-and-light performance in the intimate setting of the Dovecote Studio.
Laura crafts minimalist chamber music drawn from the landscape of Snape. For The Dovecote Sessions, she immerses her audience in an intimate live performance on violin, over-bowed violin, tape and light.
The site specific piece is recreated multiple times throughout the day, and intended for small audiences. The new work was composed over summer 2022 and forms the first part of Cannell's wider ECHOLOCATION project, supported by Arts Council England.
This event is part of Festival of New, presented by Jennifer Lucy Allan.
