Katy Thomson and Trio Mazzolini
The soprano and piano trio perform a programme including Omri Kochavi’s Nahar Amok.
Nahar Amok means “deep river” in Hebrew. Writing in response to Ravel’s piece Kaddish, Omri Kochavi sets a poem on the theme of loss by Iraq-born Israeli poet Amira Hess, taken from a cycle dedicated to her late brother.
