The latest in a series of sessions at The Red House exploring music by 20th-century women composers.
Discover the life and works of Welsh composer Grace Williams (1906-1977). She first studied music at Cardiff University before moving to the Royal College of Music and becoming a pupil of Vaughan Williams. A contemporary of Britten’s, she was more closely linked with fellow women composers Elizabeth Maconchy and Elisabeth Lutyens. This session will be led by Dr Rhiannon Mathias from Bangor University.
