Mezzo soprano Claire Barnett-Jones is a powerfully dramatic talent. She was a Finalist and Winner of the Dame Joan Sutherland Audience Prize at BBC Cardiff Singer of the World 2021. She has been researching The Society of Women Musicians, founded in 1911 to bring composers and performers together and to provide a space for discussion. Here she sings songs by some of the members and presidents, including Rebecca Clarke, Liza Lehmann, Ethel Smyth and Imogen Holst, alongside readings of the letters they wrote each other in an enthralling exploration.
