The Band of the Royal British Legion, Leiston

Nothing warms the heart quite like a brass band at Christmas and we are looking forward to welcoming The Band of the Royal British Legion, Leiston to Snape Maltings Concert Hall for the very first time, playing barnstorming Christmas classics such as ‘Sleigh Ride’ and a spectacular festive medley!

Official anthem singer for the England Rugby teams and a regular on BBC Songs of Praise, soprano Laura Wright has performed at the Royal Albert Hall, Westminster Abbey and even The Great Wall of China, but is proud to call Suffolk home. She brings a host of beautiful seasonal music ranging from ‘O Holy Night’ to ‘Here I Stand’ and ‘Somewhere In My Memory’ from the classic film Home Alone.

Following last year's sold-out performance of Messiah, the Britten Pears Chamber Choir sings a dazzling host of Christmas choral music including new music by Suffolk-based composers and firm favourites Lauridsen’s ‘O magnum mysterium’ and ‘O radiant dawn’ by James MacMillan.

Plus, there will be favourite festive carols for everyone to sing along with!
