Chisato Minamimura explores the concept of ‘visual soundscapes’ from her unique perspective as a deaf performance artist, choreographer and British Sign Language Art Guide.

Developed during a Snape Residency, INPUT:OUTPUT is a performance experiment that looks at ways to make music a more inclusive experience. Chisato’s collaborative, deaf-led approach challenges assumptions about who can create soundscapes and what musical performances may look, sound, or feel like from a deaf perspective.

This event is part of Festival of New, presented by Jennifer Lucy Allan.

Return coach tickets will be available for 10 September to Snape Maltings from London, Norwich and Ipswich. Full details coming soon.

Festival of New celebrates work developed on Snape Residencies. We are grateful to the Genesis Kickstart Fund and PRS Foundation’s The Open Fund for their support.
