Get ready to have your spine tingled, as hundreds of young people raise the concert hall roof and celebrate the power of music.

Celebration brings together over 1,200 performers from schools across the county for one special week each year. Every evening we invite audiences to experience performance at its most joyful, with Suffolk's young people showcasing every kind of music imaginable to the highest standards, in Snape Maltings Concert Hall.

Selected schools and community groups have come together with musicians and community leaders at Britten Pears Arts to devise their varied programmes, and have rehearsed in school and at home in the lead-up to the week.

This year, composer Charlotte Harding has written the all-important Celebration Finale, to be sung at the end of each evening. The piece reflects young voices, and is written in collaboration with young people who have special educational needs and disabilities. Harding is an award-winning composer, orchestrator and saxophonist, whose works include the Ivors composer award-winning Convo for massed ensemble (Royal Albert Hall). She has collaborated with Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and English National Ballet.

An unforgettable evening of music for all the family. Watch this video of last year's Celebration for a teaser of the performance...

We are grateful to the Garfield Weston Foundation, Victoria Robey, Alan Swerdlow and Jeremy Greenwood, James White Drinks and Youth Music for their support towards Celebration.
