Songs after Supper
Join Natalie Burch and Friends for an imagined evening at the Red House. This evening, the Britten Studio is transformed into The Red House, where guests hear sharings of the latest compositions, musical reminiscences and much cherished performances.
This programme is inspired by the characters and relationships that made up Britten and Pears’ circle and played a central role in the foundation and development of the Britten Pears Young Artist programme. Key amongst these were Imogen Holst and Viola Tunnard, celebrated musicians and creators whose legacies enable the course to thrive to this day.
Natalie is the Viola Tunnard scholar for this year’s Britten Pears Young Artist Programme – just one of the many ways Viola continues to make an invaluable contribution to the school and to future generations of collaborative pianists.
