Snape Maltings is set on the banks of the River Alde in a cluster of beautifully renovated Victorian buildings. The location has inspired artists, musicians and all those who visit for over 50 years.

Nestled within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty under never-ending Suffolk skies, it makes a brilliant destination or stop on a tour of Suffolk. Once here, there is plenty to fill a morning or afternoon, or to simply provide a short refreshments stop.

Tours and Boat Trips

Explore the landscape by boat. Departing from the historic quay, where generations of Thames Barge skippers have plied their trade, hop aboard Tilly Too or Hagar and head out through the narrows down towards Iken. Find out more here.
