CAPPA is for makers in sound, composers, improvisors, sound artists, producers, songwriters, interdisciplinary artists, or any other music performer who substantially contributes to new original work. The intention is to bring together like minded artists to foster conversation, and potential collaboration across different approaches to making new work. The emphasis is on exploratory or experimental music.

This course will be led by some of the country’s leading experts in new exploratory music making. Course directors are Larry Goves & Angharad Davies. Britten Pears Young Artists will be working and collaborating with the course resident ensemble The House of Bedlam and other guest tutors including composer, vocalist, and multi-instrumentalist Seaming To.

I’m very excited about collaborating with fellow creatives who share similar ideals, but approach their expression in unique ways. As someone who is neurodivergent, I’m looking forward to how our diverse perspectives and approaches can lead to extraordinary creations, in turn allowing us to explore the boundless possibilities of art. Let’s see what we bring to life!
