We are taking steps to reduce our carbon footprint, including low-carbon transport initiatives. You will now find a dedicated web platform for Aldeburgh Festival Lift Sharing, an on-demand electric taxi-bus service running between Wickham Market station, Framlingham and Snape Maltings called Katch, electric vehicle charging points available at Snape Maltings, and Aldeburgh Festival electric bikes for hire in Aldeburgh. We will also continue to run Festival Coaches from Aldeburgh to Snape Maltings and other Festival venues.

Do please make use of these initiatives wherever possible.

Aldeburgh Festival Car Sharing

Save money and reduce CO2 emissions. Sign up to Aldeburgh Festival Liftshare to offer or request a lift to and from Snape Maltings and other Aldeburgh Festival venues. You register a journey you want to make and the system created by Suffolk Liftshare matches you to others making similar journeys. Contact them through the website, get your Liftshare confirmation, and show it when you arrive at Snape Maltings to receive the best available parking space.

For help using the Liftshare interface, please contact Suffolk Liftshare.

Katch on demand electric taxi-bus

Katch is your bookable electric bus service. It’s convenient, cost-effective, fast and green. It is a pilot scheme that is trialling electric vehicles operating as shared taxi-buses serving Framlingham - Wickham Market - Wickham Market Railway Station - Tunstall - Snape Maltings - Snape.

Serving fixed bus stops, journeys can be booked on-demand by telephone or via the app, charging fares in line with a bus service.
