Aldeburgh Carnival with Group A!
19, 20, 21 August, 10am – 4pm
Snape Maltings & Aldeburgh High Street
A free summer holiday project for 8 – 18-year-olds, involving singing, dancing and movement, ending with a performance at Aldeburgh Carnival on 21 August.
In this three-day summer project, young participants will create a performance for this year’s Aldeburgh Carnival. Led by multi-instrumentalist Hannabiell Sanders and her high energy ensemble, we will explore exhilarating music fusing together Afro-Caribbean & Latin percussion, jazz, Afro-beat, and funk to create a unique sound.
Young musicians from Aldeburgh Young Musicians (AYM) will also join the band for the parade.
No previous musical experience or knowledge is needed to take part.
Free transport is provided from Ipswich, Lowestoft and Leiston.
